Halloween
Celebrated every year on the last day of October, Halloween began as a superstitious ceremony to ward off evil spirits and to wish for sucessful crops the following year. Ancient Celtic villagers would light bonfires on hilltops and gather around the fire as they banded together against the coming winter.
